The William Charles Rankin Chair. A native of Daegu, South Korea, Sunrise Kim was educated in Seoul and at the Colburn Conservatory of Music at the Colburn School in Los Angeles. He has performed at the Pacific Music Festival Sapporo in Japan and with the American Youth Symphony. He joined the cello section of the North Carolina Symphonyin 2019.
