Comments: A nice easy loop on an excellent morning. Conditions would be dry for late summer, and quite unusual for late spring. Views from the well maintained fire tower included Adirondacks, Canada and theWhites.
EAST OSCEOLA, MT. OSCEOLA Date of Hike: Wednesday, June 9, 2021: Parking/Access Road Notes: Car spot at the Greeley Ponds Lot, only one other care there when we arrived. Mark was a nice guy and picked us up at the Tripoli Road lot, only a few cars there. WILDCAT MT. PEAKS A, B, C, D, E Comments: A blisteringly fast (for me) hike of the Wildcats this morning. Started at 7am and was back to the car by 11:30. Trails are in excellent shape, and the rain held off this morning, although it looked questionable the whole hike. MT. SURPRISE, MT. MORIAH, NORTH CARTER MOUNTAIN, MIDDLE Comments: Very tough but fun overnight trip. Hiked south, staying at Imp Campsite overnight. Caretaker was friendly. Mt. Hight had the best views, followed by Moriah then Wildcat A. Severely underestimated how difficult descent from Wildcat A to Pinkham Notch would be. NEWENGLANDTRAILCONDITIONS.com :MA
