NEW KID ON THE WOK
Perrine Birth Story. December 14, 2020 //. In the early morning of Saturday, November 28, I gave birth to our second baby, Perrine Rocio Lampard. Now that we’re back home, I can start digesting the whirlwind experience of her fast and furious birth.NEWKIDONTHEWOK.COM
Welcome! Hi! I'm Pristine, a Texas girl born in the Philippines and now living in Hong Kong. When I'm not cooking, eating, and traveling with my husband, Peter and my son, Patriot, I am working at a charity as the Programme Director for RUN Hong Kong.. Follow me ASIAN PANTRY ESSENTIALS SHOPPING LIST Asian Pantry Essentials. 1. Chili oil. No explanation really needed. Make your own or buy ready made, with or without chili flakes still soaking. Perfect for adding spice to Asian dishes. Don’t let the stoic face deceive you. Lao Gan Ma Chili Crisp Sauce is so NEPALESE CHICKEN CHOILA Instructions. Cook chicken on a grill until cooked through. Allow chicken to rest for 10 minutes before removing skin and cutting in to bite sized pieces. In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds and toast until seeds are JAPANESE CURRY FROM SCRATCH Instructions. In a large pot, heat oil over low-medium heat. Add in garlic and ginger and saute until fragrant. Reduce heat to low. Stir in onions. Put lid on pot and cook until onions are a caramelized paste (approx 45-60 minutes) If onions begin to burn, add a JAPANESE SEAWEED RICE Instructions. In a large pot, boil water over high heat. Add rice. Reduce heat, cover and simmer rice until cooked and water is absorbed (~15-20 min) Remove from heat. Fluff rice with fork. Add mirin and seaweed. Mix well. Serve warm with sesame seeds sprinkled on top. MS. VY'S BARBECUE CHICKEN AND LIME LEAF Instructions. Cut chicken thighs in to 1 inch strips and add to a large resealable plastic bag. In large bowl, mix salt, palm sugar, black pepper, five spice, and turmeric. Add garlic, shallots, lemongrass, chili flakes, and thinly sliced lime leaves. Stir in sesame oil and fish sauce. LUMPIA - NEW KID ON THE WOK In a large pan heat 1 inch layer of oil over medium-high heat. Carefully place rolled lumpia in to oil to fry. Depending on the size of your pan you can fry 3-4 lumpia at a time (careful not to overcrowd) Flip 1-2 times, cooking until both sides of lumpia are crispy and golden brown (approx 2 GREEN BEANS IN XO SAUCE Instructions. Combine soy sauce and fish sauce in a large bowl. Add minced pork and mix well. In a large skillet, heat oil on high heat. Toss in garlic and onions and stir until garlic is very lightly golden. Add in chicken thighs and brown lightly on each side. Pour 2 cups enchilada sauce over chicken thighs ensuring meat is lightly covered in sauce. Simmer over low-medium heat for 20-30 minutes until chicken is cooked through.SPICY KOREAN PORK
Instructions. In a large bowl, mix gochujang, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, garlic, chili flakes, ginger and salt until well combined. Add pork and onion and coat in sauce.
