Getting to the Museum's branch. You can get there using buses and trolleybuses going to the Plac Kościuszki stop - InfoBox (i.e. from Orłowo, Dąbrowa, Karwin and Sopot) - see ZKM website, more detailed route on Google Maps (850 m, 10 minutes) or the Centrum Handlowe Batory stop (i.e. from Grabówek, Chylonia, Cisowa) – see ZKM website, more detailed route on Google maps Google Maps THE CRANE: PAST AND PRESENT A new crane was built in the period of 1442-1444. It consisted of two brick towers which had the abovementioned wooden lifting mechanism installed between them. The Crane belonged to the town and was managed by a crane master. It sunk in January 1921 during the heavy storm on the way from Wilhelmshaven to Gdańsk. *. "Arngast" was 29 meters long (in some of Polish papers appear the digits like 32, 33 or even 35 meters), 6,08 meters high with a submersion of around 2,5 meters, displacement 195 BRT (270 tons by navy standards). Narodowe Muzeum Morskie w Gdańsku informuje, że 15 listopada br. zwróciło się pisemnie do Europejskiego Centrum Solidarności z propozycją rozwiązania (za porozumieniem stron) umowy depozytu dotyczącej zabytku "Tablice z 21 postulatami". Prośbę swoją motywowaliśmy koniecznością zorganizowania wystawy w Sali BHP, w której "Tablice" miałyby być głównym eksponatem. W poniedziałek, 18 listopada 2019 "Dar Pomorza" został odholowany do Gdańskiej Stoczni Remontowej na konieczny, zaplanowany remont. Ten dzień był dla nas ważny z dwóch powodów – "Biała Fregata" zmienia miejsce postoju raz na dziesięć lat, więc rejs był wydarzeniem historycznym w dziejach nie tylko statku, ale też całego Muzeum. Tego dnia spotkała nas też niesamowita okazja i przyjemność poznania prawdziwego wilka morskiego. Spełniliśmy marzenie chorego chłopca, który chciał stanąć za steremżaglowca.

W 2019 roku obchodzimy pięćdziesiątą rocznicę zakończenia wyprawy Leonida Teligi na jachcie "Opty". Wystawa "Płynę na "Opty". Zabytki z rejsu dookoła świata" w Muzeum Wisły w Tczewie przybliża historię wielkiej podróży, legendarnego żeglarza i jachtu -symbolu.
