OACETT - I NEED AN LET DESIGNATION Licensed Engineering Technologist (LET) LET is officially established: a message from OACETT’s President I am delighted to inform members that changes to Ontario Regulation 941/90 to establish the Licensed Engineering Technologist (LET) class of limited licence have now been approved by the Ontario Government, to take effect on July 1, 2015. OACETT - I NEED TO COMPLETE A TECHNOLOGY REPORT Technology Accreditation Canada (TAC) accredits engineering technology and applied science programs at post-secondary educational institutions in Ontario for the purpose of identifying whether they meet the profession's approved standards and criteria. Applicants who graduated from a nationally accredited program and completed a Technology Report as a part of that program (as recorded on OACETT - OACETT CODE OF ETHICS A major responsibility of all OACETT members is a commitment to abide by the OACETT Code of Ethics. A professional code of ethics is an important distinction that seperates OACETT proferssionals from other engingeering technology workers. OACETT - CAROLE AND GEORGE FLETCHER FOUNDATION For over 25 years, The Carole and George Fletcher Foundation has awarded bursaries to exceptional students. February 21, 2014 OACETT’s $10,000 gift supports NC’s engineeringtechnology students
Students in Niagara College’s engineering technician and technology programs received a significant boost today, thanks to a $10,000 gift from the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT). The gift will be used to establish the OACETT Technology Scholarship which will provide an annual award to a student in one of Niagara College's OACETT-recognized engineering or applied science technology programs. The endowment fund at Niagara College is the 23rd fund created as part of OACETT's 25 for 25 Building Forward Campaign, which supports engineering technology education by expanding the bursary program into all of Ontario's colleges. February 21, 2014 Endowment fund established to support St. Clair College engineering technology students St. Clair College, the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) and Industrial Drive Services today announced the creation of a $23,500 endowment to fund an annual financial award for engineering technology students enrolled at St. Clair College. The new fund is made possible through a leadership gift from OACETT’s Carole and George Fletcher Foundation, generously matched by Industrial Drive Service, and a contribution from theCollege.

The Institute of Engineering Technology of Ontario (IETO) is pleased to announce upcoming improvements to the OACETT Professional Practice Exam and study materials. The new edition of the Professional Practice Study manual includes updates to the OACETT By-law and commentary on new issues that have arisen in the continually changing engineering technology workplace. PPE manual chapters have been reorganized, reformatted, and new content added for overall flow and cohesiveness. Two new sections have been added to the manual: Workplace Legislation and IETO. Additional multiple choice questions will be introduced to reflect these revisions. February 21, 2014 OACETT’s $10,000 gift supports NC’s engineeringtechnology students
Students in Niagara College’s engineering technician and technology programs received a significant boost today, thanks to a $10,000 gift from the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT). The gift will be used to establish the OACETT Technology Scholarship which will provide an annual award to a student in one of Niagara College's OACETT-recognized engineering or applied science technology programs. The endowment fund at Niagara College is the 23rd fund created as part of OACETT's 25 for 25 Building Forward Campaign, which supports engineering technology education by expanding the bursary program into all of Ontario's colleges. February 21, 2014 Endowment fund established to support St. Clair College engineering technology students St. Clair College, the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) and Industrial Drive Services today announced the creation of a $23,500 endowment to fund an annual financial award for engineering technology students enrolled at St. Clair College. The new fund is made possible through a leadership gift from OACETT’s Carole and George Fletcher Foundation, generously matched by Industrial Drive Service, and a contribution from theCollege.
