Our history. Although it is an essential component to regulate the climate system, the ocean has long been absent from climate negotiations. In light of this observation, and with the willingness to overcome it, the Ocean and Climate Platform (OCP) was created on 8 June 2014, on the occasion of World Ocean Day, with the support ofUNESCO’s
POLICY RECOMMENDATIONS In 2019, and considering the international agenda for 2019-2021, the Ocean and Climate Platform publishes its new policy recommendations for “a healthy ocean, a protected climate”, presented during COP25, taking place from December 2nd to 13th, 2019 in Madrid.
