RECYCLE - OCRRA
Recycling Rules Does that plastic bottle go in the trash or the blue bin? (Always the blue bin.) What about plastic bags? (Never in the blue bin, whether empty or containing recyclables; however, you can recycle plastic bags at local stores.) Throwing things in the blue bin that aren’t recyclable only contaminates the recycling stream and reduces what gets recycled.ELECTRONICS
OCRRA cannot accept electronics at any of our locations, nor do we host collection events. However, a statewide law requires manufacturers to “take-back” unwanted electronics from households, schools and small businesses year-round. Where to Recycle Electronics Items covered under the law: Televisions (as well as TV set cathode ray tubes) Computers Computer Peripherals* (Monitors ELECTRONICS (TVS, COMPUTERS, MONITORS, PRINTERS, ETC.) Supply Orders are Temporarily Suspended due to COVID-19. Due to COVID-19 precautions, OCRRA is doing its part to minimize virus spread by suspending recycling supply ordering until further notice. Please join our email list to be made aware when the order form is back up and running. We apologize for any inconvenience.FURNITURE - OCRRA

HOUSEHOLD TOXICS DROP-OFF From oil-based paints and pesticides, to gasoline and pool chemicals, there are many household items that shouldn’t go in the trash or down the drain. That’s why OCRRA set up a drop-off program specifically for household hazardous wastes. Please wait until you have at least a box full of toxics ready for drop off before making anappointment.
