THE AZTECS, PEOPLE OF THE SUN The tremendously varied objects are both spectacular and moving. Masks and statues, gold jewellery, figurines of women, children and animals, stamps for creating patterns on fabric and skin, sculptures and objects relating to the sacrifices required to keep the Sun on its daily journey, chests, boxes for offerings, vases and ceramics, all reflect the mysteries surrounding this people. VARNA – WORLD'S FIRST GOLD, ANCIENT SECRETS Over the Museum's some 115 years of existence, its curators have conducted numerous archaeological digs in the ancient part of the city—once known as Odessos—and in the Varna region, i.e. northeastern Bulgaria.QUEENS OF EGYPT
Queens of Egypt was presented at Pointe-à-Callière from April 10 to November 4, 2018. Presented by. Travel back in time to ancient Egypt—to the days of the Egyptian Empire, some 3,500 years ago—where you will meet women whose remarkable destiny saw them become the wives, mothers, and daughters of pharaohs! THE GREAT PEACE OF MONTRÉAL The Great Peace of Montréal. This magnificent glasswork is now integrated into the Where Montréal Was Born exhibition and can be appreciated by all visitors. Made up of 16 panels 6 metres long by 1.5 metres high (20 feet by 5 feet) the work illustrates where the treaty was signed as well as the principal players that took part in theevent.

THE STORY OF A SUNKEN SHIP This exhibition takes you to the heart of an exceptional adventure-the siege of Québec, in 1690, when Frontenac delivered his famous retort to Phips' envoy: ''O!I have no response to make to your General except from the mouths of my cannons.'' PIRATES OR PRIVATEERS? The Pirates or Privateers? exhibit is a self-guided tour for families and the general public. Guided tours are available from Tuesday to Friday by reservation for primary and preschool groups. This exhibition was made possible by a financial contribution by the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications and the City ofMontréal.
