In partnership with local and international organizations, Paideia and Paideia Folkhögskola regularly arranges public programs aimed to make Jewish knowledge, heritage, and culture available both for the Swedish Jewish minority and for the general public. Paideia’s alumni body comprises of hundreds of program graduates in over 40 different countries. They are community professionals and cultural producers, heads of educational institutions and editors, rabbis in nine different countries, cantors and researchers, museumprofessionals and

The One-Year Jewish Studies Program has a requirement of 60 ECTS and is organized in two modules: Mandatory and Elective. Christina von Braun is a German cultural scientist, gender theorist, writer and filmmaker. She has been professor of cultural studies at Humboldt University, Berlin since 1994 and writes, makes films and researches into the links between intellectual history and gender roles, as well as on media, religion, modernity and the history of anti-Semitism. Hevruta. Courses at Paideia are based on Jewish text and use the Hevruta technique. This is the traditional Jewish method of studying a text in pairs or small groups, where the fellows interpret the text together, conducting a dialogue with each other and with the text, debating its possible meanings.
