ABOUT US - NATIONAL PARK TRUST We preserve parks today and create park stewards for tomorrow. We acquire the missing pieces of our national parks, the privately owned land located within and adjacent to our national parks’ boundaries. We also bring thousands of kids from under-served communities to our parks; they are our future caretakers of these priceless resources. GRANTS - NATIONAL PARK TRUST Future Funding Opportunities Every Kid Outdoors Transportation Grants Program In partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, the Every Kid Outdoors Transportation Grants Program supports non-profits and schools that are connecting 4th graders with nature, ultimately leading to a nation of outdoor enthusiasts and stewards. This program supports the national “Every Kid Outdoors” initiative BUDDY BISON PROGRAMS Buddy Bison Creative Learning Program. NATIONAL PARK TRUST ASSISTS NATIONAL PARK SERVICE IN SECURING PROPERTIES FOR ST. CROIX NATIONAL SCENIC RIVERWAY Written on April 13, 2020 National Park Trust today announced the addition of 145 acres to the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. The Park Trust received the three parcels of land from the State of Wisconsin, the original owners of the property. The complex project involved a land exchange in which the Park Trust worked with the Wisconsin Board of Commissioners of Public Lands to identify and then purchase valuable timberland; then that land was traded for the state parcels in the north-central partof Wisconsin.
