Icebreaker Women’s 250 Vertex Base Layer Review. Icebreaker Women’s 250 Vertex Base Layer Bottom Line: The Icebreaker 250 Vertex Base Layers are pretty much the perfect weight for all outdoorpursuits.
ABOUT US - PEBBLESHOO.COM About Leigh: Born and raised in Ireland, Leigh loved the patchwork quilt of green farmland and medieval stone Castles of his home but always dreamed, from a young age, of snowcapped mountains, hidden log cabins with crackling wood hearths, encounters with Grizzlies andother wildlife.
THE WONDERLAND VALLEY RESORT AND CAMPGROUND The Wonderland Valley Resort and Campground is a hidden gem for staying overnight in Squamish. Situated in an amazing location in the trees, with moss covered cliffs beside it, a babbling brook running through it and a secret viewpoint to watch sunsets on the impressive Stawamus Chief and beyond. The amenities are generous with fast Wifi3 TYPES OF FUN
Here’s how they are defined. Type 1. Fun to Do. Fun to Remember. When most people think of fun, they think of this. Some examples would be: Eating out at a good restaurant with friends. Spending a day at a water park riding the slides. Beach holidays in the Sun. GOOD TO-GO DEHYDRATED MEALS REVIEW I think everyone can agree that Pasta is a mainstay out in the backcountry. it’s filling, warm and so satisfying. The Good To-Go Marinara with Penne is made with brown rice noodles, but you would never know from the “wheat like” texture of the noodles. It’s smothered in a simple tomato marinara sauce that is given a cheesy richness from nutritional yeast. THE CONRAD KAIN HUT IN THE BUGABOOS The Bugaboos in the Purcell Mountains near Golden, BC have long been famous among Mountaineers as a destination to experience some of the finest alpine climbing available in the world. But a stay at the Conrad Kain Hut needn’t just be a base camp for climbers alone. Indeed, on our visit we rubbed shoulders with trail runners, dayhikers
MOUNT CORRIVEAU: WE, LIKE, TOTALLY DID IT! The thrashing through the bush was sometimes sustained but one of us would always lift the mood by saying something like “guys, just remember, we are, like totally doing this oh my god, we’re so courageous”. Ben utilizing a unique plunge step technique. Starting the alder thrash. This gully is JULBO TENSING: THOUGHTS ON GLACIER GLASSES Julbo will almost always show up if you do a search yourself as they seem to be a market leader for this specific class of sunglasses. Ultimately, as the title suggests, I chose the Julbo Tensing. It had the right mix of functionality, weight, price ( ~$50) and aestheticsfor my
MAMMUT KENTO HS JACKET REVIEW Bottom Line: The Mammut Kento HS Hooded Jacket is a hardshell jacket perfect for a range of outdoor pursuits were protection from the wind and rain is necessary. Lightweight and small packing size makes this a perfect jacket to stow in the bottom of your pack and leave there for when you’ll need it. THE SMITH ROCK ASCENT RACE REPORT The Smith Rock Ascent is a trail race that is organized in Smith Rock State Park, Oregon. A few months ago a friend made myself and Spring aware of this race and we got stoked to run it. Not only was it in a place that has world class rock climbing, which we love also, it was also in Oregon, a beautiful state in the US we’d been hoping to explore for quite a while.PEBBLESHOO.COM

ISLAND LAKE LODGE REVIEW The Food: Food is a focus here at Island Lake, not an afterthought. From the presentation to the taste you can tell that there is an importance on using real food. The food is not over complicated or pretentious. It is simply delicious, obviously cooked with a lot of care and a definite highlight of the visit. WEDGE MOUNTAIN: NORTH EAST ARÊTE On the first weekend in June, 2013 myself, Spring and our friend Ben decided to try a classic Alpine Mountaineering route in Garibaldi Provincial Park called the North East Arête of Wedge Mountain. Two years previously we had reached the summit of Wedge Mountain MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR SHIFTER 3 TENT REVIEW The fly and the mesh door roll up nicely and can be cinched open. 10 Things My First Ultra Taught Me. Posted By Spring McClurg on Nov 9, 2014. Technically anything over the marathon distance of 42.2 km (26.2 miles) is classified as an ultra distance. THE COPILOT: HOW CIVILIZED! Posted By Spring McClurg | 2 comments. We have had more than a few hikes/scrambles around Southwest B.C. that have made us earn our right to be there. They consisted of either an approach on miles of logging road that is so graciously referred to as a “slog”, a heinous bushwack or alder thrash that scratches and slaps at any exposed skin or sometimes if we were really lucky we have had to SKY PILOT: WHY I CLIMB The name “Sky Pilot” instantly stood out. It’s a great name for a Mountain in my opinion and instantly gave the peak a mystique that drew me to want to climb it some day. In many ways climbing Mountains for me is an endeavour to get further away from the comfort and ennui of postmodernity at sea level. HORNBY ISLAND ENERGY BARS REVIEW Made with ingredients like oats, peanut butter, molasses, sesame seeds and dark chocolate this gourmet version is 385 calories and 13 grams of protein. A few things to note is that these bars, except for the Tahini, are not nut allergy friendly as they all contain peanut butter. They are also very calorie dense bars so are best consumedduring
