Add 1 teaspoon of the Everything Bagel Seasoning evenly over the salmon as well. Thinner fillets like Dover sole fall apart much more quickly and you may end up with half of your fillet slipping betweenthe grates.
HOMEMADE THAI SEASONING BLEND RECIPE I loved this Thai seasoning so much that I included it in the spice blend section of my first cookbook — The Big Book of Paleo Slow Cooking and used it in two recipes: Thai Pulled Pork Tacos with Creamy Chili Slaw (pictured above) — This might be my favorite recipe in the whole book. That’s saying a lot for someone who was never a fanof pork before.
HAZELNUT SOUP (RAPUNZEL'S FAVORITE) After a quick Google search and discovering that hazenut soup soup does exist (and I didn’t have to make it up my self whew), I informed the girls that Mom was going to make Rapunzel Soup. my oldest asked, “Mom, what’s a . . . pawsoup?” (Parsnip). My kids weren’t so keen on this (They’re not big potato eaters, which breaks my little Idahoan heart.), so Steve and I happily finished off the wholebowl.
DRY SRIRACHA SEASONING BLEND The tricky part about mimicking sriracha in a dry seasoning was to find something to give it an acidic bite like the vinegar in sriracha. I used citric acid, which did the trick! HOMEMADE SUGAR SCRUB WITH BROWN SUGAR AND COCONUT OIL How to Make Homemade Sugar Scrub. All you need are a few simple ingredients. Sweet Chipotle Salmon with Hot Honey Glaze. I love salmon. Like, big puffy heart love salmon. If you want to know the truth, I created this Sweet Chipotle Salmon recipe because I wanted another vehicle for Hot Honey Cilantro Glaze. Luckily it paired SO well with this salmon! (And REALLY good with the Roasted Jalapeno Ranch Dressing on this salad. HOW TO MAKE SAUERKRAUT Store where the temperature remains fairly steady, between 60 and 70 degrees F. Check the sauerkraut after 24 hours. The cabbage should still be completely immersed in the liquid. If you need to make more brine, dissolve 1 1/2 tablespoons of pickling salt in 1 quart of water. Pour enough in brine to keep the cabbage submerged. HOMEMADE THAI SEASONING BLEND RECIPE Homemade Thai Seasoning. Yield: 3 Tablespoons. Additional Time: 5 minutes. Total Time: 5 minutes. If you can absolutely help it -- don't leave out the fenugreek. It might be tricky to find, but it has a sweet, maple-like taste and gives this spice blend its exoticness. SWEET POTATO FRIES SEASONING + HOW TO MAKE Rotate the pans halfway through cooking. Heat the oven to 425 degrees F. Roast . . . Until they have brown spots and the edges get a little crispy. Maybe that’s why I don’t bother posting a full recipe — I always forget to get an accurate cooking time! I’ll give you a window of 20-30 minutes. HOW TO MAKE EVERYTHING BAGEL SEASONING To make about 3 Tablespoons: 2 teaspoons white sesame seeds. 1 1/2 teaspoons dried minced onion. 1 1/2 teaspoons dried minced garlic. 1 1/2 teaspoons black sesame seeds. 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes (Maldon recommended) 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds. HAZELNUT SOUP (RAPUNZEL'S FAVORITE) Stir in the cornstarch (or flour, if using), salt and pepper and stir to combine. Cook for a minute or so, then add water, chicken broth, and 1 cup of the roasted hazelnuts. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-loaw and simmer for 30 minutes. Use a high power blender to blend the soup in batches until smooth. SMOKY GRILLED SALSA (CHEVY'S COPYCAT) Instructions. Preheat BBQ (or stovetop grill pan like I used) on high. Remove stems from tomatoes, then rub some oil over each. Leave stems on jalapenos and rub oil on them, too. Place tomatoes on grill when it's hot. After about 10 minutes, add all jalapenos. In about 10 minutes, turn the tomatoes and peppers. HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD WITH SAUERKRAUT Add the shallot to the skillet and cook over medium heat until slightly softened, about 3 minutes. Add the vinegar, oil, and honey. Bring to a boil, then pour over the potatoes and toss to coat. Add the sauerkraut. Taste and season with more vinegar, salt, and pepper, if needed. Add some of the potato cooking water if the mixture seems dry. HOW TO MAKE GHEE (IT'S EASIER THAN YOU THINK.) Let the butter cool until it stops bubbling. Meanwhile, prepare to strain the butter by nesting a metal, fine-mesh strainer in a medium bowl. Lay a paper towel in the strainer. Pour the butter through the paper-towel lined strainer to strain the milk solids from the butter. HOMEMADE SUGAR SCRUB WITH BROWN SUGAR AND COCONUT OIL Again, you don’t need a food processor for this. You can mix it up in a large bowl. Just make sure your brown sugar is fresh so you don’t have to smooth out a bunch of dry sugar lumps. That’s no fun. TIP: If you let it go too long, the friction will warm thecoconut

Most steak seasonings have the same basic ingredients — lots of peppery spices, garlic, onion, and a touch of herbs. This version is similar to the “Montreal” style steak seasoning you find at the grocery store, but without the soy-based fillers. Just pure herbs & seasonings here.BEEF ARCHIVES
