ABOUT US | PETFINDER FOUNDATION The Petfinder Foundation is a public charity that works to prevent the euthanasia of adoptable pets by assisting animal shelters and rescue groups across North America. Founded in 2003, the Petfinder Foundation has given more than $20 million in cash and product grants to help organizations save the lives of pets in need. Our grant programs are designed to make homeless LOOKING FOR SPONSOR A PET? Sponsor a Pet has changed! You no longer need to sign up to receive donations through our Sponsor a Pet program – as long as you are an active Petfinder.com member, you’re enrolled automatically. You are also able to opt out at any time. Enrolled but not being notified of your donations? We might not have your email address! Please HUMANE SOCIETY FOR ANIMALS, INC.: SENIOR PET ADOPTION The grant funds were used to help get her adopted by discounting her adoption fee to zero and assisting the adopter with the first year of food and vet care. The funding was used for: Adoption fee subsidy – $65. Methimazole – $40.15. B12 injectable – $7.99. 100 ml YORK COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER: PLAY YARD RENOVATION GRANT REPORT Seven total windows that are accessible to the play yard were ultimately replaced and updated appropriately. Labor charged on this entire renovation totaled $1,771.36 (on June 7, 2020), which allowed us to get our new windows installed and rotted window frames entirely repaired. We spent the remaining $893.84 of grant funds on the depositfor a
GREEN ACRES ANIMAL RESCUE: BAR DOG OPERATION GRANT REPORT Green Acres Animal Rescue. : Bar Dog Operation Grant. May 14, 2021. What was the money or product used for? The money was used to purchase dog toys, leashes, bowls, material for beds for kennels, treats for training, and microchips. How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care? This money helped our organization by STRAY HEARTS ANIMAL SHELTER: BAR DOG OPERATION GRANT Thanks to this grant, Quincy was able to be neutered and head to his forever home. Since finishing the grant, all of Quincy’s siblings have been adopted and are also heading home. Cow (second photo) was picked up as a stray, unaltered, and brought to Stray Hearts, but this cutie wasn’t here for long before she found her forever home. NEW HOPE DOG RESCUE: EMERGENCY MEDICAL GRANT REPORT Once he was cleared for adoption on March 4, he was added to Petfinder as an adoptable dog. Randy found his loving forever home on March 15 and has been adopted by an amazing family. We were thrilled to be recipients of the Emergency Medical Grant from the Petfinder Foundation. 100% of the grant went towards Randy’s extensive medicalcosts.
HOUSTON HUMANE SOCIETY: DISASTER GRANT REPORT 300. Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped. The Houston Humane Society rescued eight dogs and one adult pig from the deadly temperatures during last month’s winter freeze. The dogs were discovered after a report was made to the Harris County Animal Cruelty Taskforce by a concerned citizen. POODLE AND POOCH RESCUE OF FLORIDA: EMERGENCY MEDICAL The money from this grant was spent on treatment for a dog named Priscilla who was hit by a car and brought into Poodle and Pooch. In addition to her hip and leg injuries, due to the trauma from the car hit, the blood vessels below the skin weren’t getting blood flow, causing vascular necrosis.
