THE AT — PIANO JACK 970 is a milestone. Some people reach the 2192. I on the other hand had to learn the hard way that this adventure (which it is aptly named) is just that. THE WHITES — PIANO JACK I was confused. “What does ‘The Whites’ mean?” I would ask other hikers. Did it mean all of the mountains in New Hampshire? Maybe it meant just The Presidential Range. I honestly thought it was just a few mountains in a row, not the slew of four-to-six-thousand-foot climbs that I would be doing in t K-52 (1982) COMPLETE! It's been about three weeks since I started work on this Steinway K-52. There are a few reasons why it took so long, but after two jobs coupled with the difficulty of working on these particular models, it can take longer than expected. VERMUD — PIANO JACK Another trail-ism! I heard “Vermud” from so many people, and it really didn’t seem like something I would ever want to say aloud, just like the terms “nearo”, “tramily,” or “slack packing.” (Nearo - almost zero miles hiked that day; Tramily - one’s trail family, or those who one hikes with most; Sla THE BÖSENDORFER "OPUS" #50000 Extravagance comes with no price tag. The only way someone would want such an exorbitant "thing" would be for the esthetic, or potentially to add to a collection.
