WHAT WE DO - PICTURE THE HOMELESS Picture the Homeless is a grassroots organization, founded and led by homeless people. We are organizing for social justice around issues like housing, police violence, and the shelter-industrial complex. Our name is about challenging images, stigma, media (mis) representation – as well as putting forward an alternative vision of community. TRAINING & EDUCATION One of our primary goals at Picture the Homeless is to build power for homeless people – people of color, low income, women, immigrants, LGBTQ, disabled, and formerly incarcerated folks. At the same time as we build collective power for homeless people, we also focus on building individual skills and providing educational opportunities.OUR MEMBERS
