Whether you are visiting the park for the first time or live locally, trails offer people of all ages a chance to explore and discover Point Reyes National Seashore’s unique landscapes, wildlife and scenic vistas. Explore the Beach. With over 80 miles of protected coastline, Point Reyes offers some of the most pristine beaches in the state. Many beaches are accessible by car with just a short walk to the water. The calmer ocean beaches, including Limantour and Drakes Bay, are located in Drakes Bay and are accessible by car with a 20 to 30 minute drive LODGING, RV & CAR CAMPING Lodging, RV & Car Camping. Point Reyes National Seashore only offers backcountry hike, bike or boat-in camping in the Philip Burton Wilderness and along Tomales Bay's west-side beaches. For those who would prefer to RV or car camp, there are a number of campgrounds in Marin County and along theBLACK-TAILED DEER
The Columbian black-tailed deer (Odocoileus hemionus columbianus), also called Mule deer, has a geographic range that spans from southern British Columbia to Santa Barbara County in California, and as far east as the Cascade and Southern Sierra Nevada Mountains.This herbivore is the most common form of wildlife seen throughout the park, outside of the bird world. Point Reyes National Seashore is surrounded on nearly all sides by the Pacific Ocean, but it also has fresh water lakes, ponds, creeks and other streams that act as important habitat forfish.

WINTER | POINT REYES NATIONAL SEASHORE ASSOCIATION Harbor Seal. With an estimated 7,000 individuals, Point Reyes National Seashore boasts the the largest population of harbor seals in California. Forest bathing is a guided nature meditation, a slow meander in the forest. Slow down and experience the natural world through your sense. Through a series of carefully crafted gentle invitations participants are encouraged to slow down and experience the natural world through their senses. A Forest Bathing walk is about connecting deeply with the more than human world and MOONWALKERS: MONTHLY FULL MOON HIKES FOR PRNSA MEMBERS MoonWalkers: Monthly Full Moon Hikes for PRNSA Members. After a brief break, we are excited to begin resuming one of our most favorite events! Join us on a walk under the moonlight in Point Reyes National Seashore with PRNSA staff. Since 1995, Point Reyes National Seashore (PRNS) and Point Blue Conservation Science (formerly known as Point Reyes Bird Observatory) have partnered to implement the Snowy Plover Protection Project , a recovery project for the breeding western snowy plover population within the Seashore.
