REUNITE — RAEL SAN FRATELLO REUNITE, is a poster originally created as an open-source, downloadable image to be used in child separation protest events anywhere in the world. The billboard was adapted from an original iconic sign that was found along the Southern California highway, which has an interesting design-protest history.APARTMENT LINER
The apartment liner attempts to remedy some of the problems created by these rigid structures. Firstly, the apartment liner is constructed off site as an interior skin that can be slipped inside the existing concrete shell. This interior or secondary skin is constructed in a MUD HOUSE — RAEL SAN FRATELLO The Mud House (a.k.a. Mowers-Tick Residence, a.k.a. Box Box House) is located in in the high West Texas desert in the town of Marfa, TX. The house is inspired by the landscape, traditional building practices and the contributions of Donald Judd and is situated in a landscape of ocotillo, mesquite, yucca and sotol with a view to the Davis Mountainsin the distance.

Night Garden. The Night Garden is inspired by the historic Spanish courtyards of New Orleans that were built after the fires of the 1780’s and 90’s. Their construction was mandated to be constructed from ceramic masonry (brick) and include a water fountain that could be used to exterminate future fires. Straw Gallery. The Straw Gallery was designed for HEDGE Gallery for the 4th annual sf20/21 San Francisco Art and Design Show held at the Festival Pavillion, Fort Mason Center. The temporary gallery was on display from September 15th through 18th opening with a benefit for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s educational programs. Straw Gallery. The Straw Gallery was designed for HEDGE Gallery for the 4th annual sf20/21 San Francisco Art and Design Show held at the Festival Pavillion, Fort Mason Center. The temporary gallery was on display from September 15th through 18th opening with a benefit for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s educational programs. LABYRINTH — RAEL SAN FRATELLO Using this method, the entire labyrinth was constructed in 1/2 day with nine people and two trucks. Labyrinth under construction. Night Garden. The Night Garden is inspired by the historic Spanish courtyards of New Orleans that were built after the fires of the 1780’s and 90’s. Their construction was mandated to be constructed from ceramic masonry (brick) and include a water fountain that could be used to exterminate future fires. SOL Grotto is a spartan retreat—a space of solitude and close to nature where one is presented with a mediated experience of water, coolness and light .The SOL Grotto also explores Solyndra’s role as a company Sh*t Out of Luck. 1,368 of the 24 million high tech glass tubes destined to be destroyed as a casualty of their bankruptcy, are used in the installation. BOXEL — RAEL SAN FRATELLO This project collapsed the building unit, in the form of 1,000 – 12”x12”x12” corrugated boxes and the voxel, to produce a full-scale study model — a Boxel! The Topo Table is a landscape for dining. Embedded into the surface of the table are dishes that have a flat surface for storing on one side a topography for the organization of edibles on the other.
