The food bank serves 26 counties in MO and IL, empowering people with food and hope, especially during this challenging time that has created so much food insecurity in our region. So far, Rep staff have helped pack 203 cases - that’s 4,388 lbs - that’s 3,582 meals! • • • #repinthetimeofcovid #repfromhome #virtualrep #repinoursweats #repstl #stayhome #314together #theatre #goseeaplay #stl #stlouis #stlouismo #stlouisgram #stlgram #stlmade #stlouisart #explorestlouis#stlrepresent

The @redcrossmo put out the call and Rep staff answered! Blood donations are needed now more than ever and, in the words of the Red Cross, “social distancing does not have to mean social disengagement.” *While the need is great, and they are taking precautions to keep donation centers clean, we encourage folks to only donate if you are safe and healthy enough to do so.* Today would have been the closing of The Rep’s 19/20 season if not for the interruption of global pandemic. CHEERS to all of the incredible artists, administrators, audiences, donors, volunteers, and students who made this season so special. We imagined celebrating the close of @hanass_repstlad’s inaugural season together, but for now we offer a virtual toast 🥂. We can’t wait to see you again nextseason!

Watch THE CAKE online! Experience a limited-time opportunity to stream the final performance of The Rep's 2019-2020 Steve Woolf Studio Series. THE CAKE navigates the messy collision of the personal and the political with immense heart and humor, while illuminating the humanity of all involved. Learn more and purchase a ticket at the link in our bio! • • • 📸: @phillip_hamer_photography #stl #theatre #onlinestreaming #watchonline #repcake #thecake #repinthetimeofcovid We are heartbroken at the loss of playwright Terrence McNally. His legacy in our industry is titanic – for both the incredible depth and variety of his work, as well as for his elevation of LGBT stories and perspectives on stage. The Rep produced McNally's MASTER CLASS in 1998 and MOTHERS AND SONS in 2016 – the latter production is pictured here, featuring @michaelkeyloun and @harrybouvy. Photo by @prophoto.stl. His family asks for donations to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the Dramatists Guild Foundation in his memory. Rep staff members are officially transitioning into "work from home mode" this week. We're going to miss seeing each other every day, and we definitely wish we could be sharing our on-stage art with you. Rest assured: we're still finalizing big plans for our offseason and 2020-2021. In the meantime, let's check in: how's everyone holding up? What creative projects are you pursuing? We're here to talk, commiserate and connect. • • • #repfromhome #virtualrep #repinoursweats #repquarantine #repstl #theatre #goseeaplay #stl #stlouis #stlouismo #stlouisgram #stlgram #stlmade #stlouisart #explorestlouis #stlrepresent An update from The Rep: Following the declaration of a state of emergency in St. Louis County surrounding the spread of #coronavirus (COVID-19), The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis must place the safety of its patrons, staff and artists above all other considerations. Based on the Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organization’s recommendations against large group gatherings, The Rep has decided to cancel all performances and events beginning Monday, March 16 through the end of the season. We plan to postpone our Mainstage world premiere of Dreaming Zenzile, with the goal of mounting it this summer. We do not take this decision lightly, knowing that the communal connections made at public arts events are some of the strongest tools against the fears and anxieties of this moment. As we ride out this turbulent time together, we remain resolutely committed to the power of storytelling to change lives and uplift our shared humanity. Thank you for your understanding and for being a part of our Rep family. We look forward to welcoming you home again this summer. We will be reaching out to ticketholders shortly via email, phone and/or text with more details regarding ticket options. For additional updates, stay tuned to repstl.org and our Facebook andTwitter feeds.
