WHAT IS REWILDING?
Nature has the power to heal itself and to heal us, if we let it. That’s what rewilding is all about; restoring ecosystems to the point where nature can take care of itself, and restoring our relationship with the natural world. Reconnecting with what matters. Rewilding is hope for the future. 1.REWILDING THE LAND
Rewilding Britain aims to tackle the climate emergency and extinction crisis, reconnect people with the natural world and to helpcommunities thrive.
15 WAYS TO A WILDER GARDEN 4) Stop digging. Every time you turn over the soil in a border it disturbs the fine balance of micro-organisms that live there, the worms, the tiny invertebrates and the fungi. Better to use an organic mulch instead and let the worms do the work. Your garden will thrive if the soil is healthy. 5) Think like a bird. REWILDING ON A SMALLER SCALE Weave nature back into your life, and pass on your knowledge. Learn from others. The Godney marshes is a fantastic example of how a practical approach to small scale rewilding can reap huge benefits. The Rewild Project shows how to integrate agroforestry and permaculture principles into your life and livelihoods to create wilder spaces.. Rewilding at any scale is a journey, and it’s agreat

WOLF | REWILDING BRITAIN In summary. Keystone species. Britain’s last top predator to become extinct. Preys primarily on red and roe deer, and to a lesser extent wild boar and beaver. They will prey on livestock in some situations. Subject to much mythologising and demonisation, wolves live in family packs that closely mimic human family structures. DEVON REWILDING NETWORK Image: Ambios Ltd. It announced a new 640 m ‘ Nature for Climate’ fund to deliver, among other things, 30, 000 hectares of new woodland and 35, 000 hectares of peatland restoration. It also made a commitment to establishing a nature recovery network. THINK BIG. ACT WILD.
