'This summer, as crowds return to our beaches more people will get into trouble – and more people will need our help. 'We’ll have our work cut out to answer all those calls. The health crisis has taken its toll on lifesaving – disrupting crew training and delaying the arrival of kit. And weRNLI OPEN GARDENS
Due to the ongoing uncertainty with the Covid-19 pandemic, we recommend that all planned Open Garden activity be postponed until at least June in order to prioritise the safety of our volunteers, staff and supporters. RNLI LAUNCHES THEIR MAYDAY APPEAL WITH 100M SAND LIFEBOAT New data has revealed the RNLI lifeboat crews and lifeguards saved 349 lives in 2020, almost one life every single day. In the summer months alone, RNLI lifeboat crews saved 140 lives, a 32% increase on theprevious year.

Not only will they get brains working, the activities also pass on invaluable water safety advice.
