Ng is an artist whose work explores the physical and psychological structures of site. Her practice includes material investigations and explorations of pattern, as well as writing and research to INTRODUCING 2021 CPP HIGH SCHOOL IB ART VIRTUAL STUDENT Introducing 2021 CPP High School IB Art Virtual Student Exhibition. Alicia Lawson installs her exhibition in The Rockwell’s Student Gallery. In collaboration with the Corning-Painted Post High School, The Rockwell Museum presents this special virtual exhibition featuring eight students from the IB Visual Arts Diploma Programme. ROCKWELL REIMAGINED: CPP HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT EXHIBITION In collaboration with art teachers Wendy Brubaker, Shawn Farwell, Sharron Holland, Birgitt Wolf-King and Megan Wukovitz at the Corning-Painted High School, The Rockwell Museum presents Rockwell Reimagined, now on view in the Museum’s Student Gallery (Floor 2). The selected artworks were created as part of a new virtual schooltour program.
MISSING AND MURDERED INDIGENOUS WOMEN: RED DRESS EXHIBIT On view throughout Corning, May 3 – 14, 2021 One in three Native American (indigenous) women is sexually assaulted during her life. Native American women are more than twice as likely to experience violence than any other demographic and they are murdered at rates that are more than 10 times the national average, according to THE NANCY AND ALAN CAMEROS COLLECTION OF SOUTHWESTERN April 8, 2014 – April 1, 2016 This exhibit features nearly 100 pieces of top-quality southwest pottery from the Nancy and Alan Cameros Collection. The exhibit, prominently displayed in custom, purpose-built mahogany casework, is a special collaboration that builds on the decade-long relationship between The Rockwell Museum and the Cameros family. SMITHSONIAN AFFILIATE In November 2015, The Rockwell Museum earned the prestigious designation of becoming a Smithsonian Affiliate. The Rockwell is now the Upstate NY conduit to the Smithsonian and its many resources.
