It took a little time as I massaged the rings into a shape that resembled a bowl. The ribbon itself was kind of cheap and flimsy so in some spots I did get a few ‘waves’ or ripples in the layers. I love lemons this time of year and the winter weather here in Pennsylvania feels like it is never. going. to. end. ever.So, I want to bring a little freshness and brightness into my world with more lemons!. I recently found a bunch of lemon projects THE EASIEST WAY TO MAKE POM POMS Either way, you are going to love this technique. This is by far the easiest way that I’ve found to make pom poms and you only need four things! Scissors, yarn, cording and a rectangular piece of cardboard. You may have spotted this technique when I made my daughter a bunny costume this fall but with Easter around the corner, I feel like DIY CRYSTAL LAMP FROM A DECANTER When I started to work on the little one’s room and decided to add crystal touches, I immediately thought about turning this piece into a lamp for our babe’s dresser. To create this DIY lamp, I basically followed the same steps I shared with you when I made my other DIY lamp from a bottle. SIMPLE SALT & PEPPER SHAKER MINI VASES Swirl the paint around so that it covers all of the interior surfaces of the glass. Let the paint start to dry. To give the surfaces another light coat or two of paint, you can come back to the vases every 20-30 minutes and continue to roll any remaining paint around the inside of the glass. Finally, turn the shakers upside down over a RE-STYLING MY CHINA-CABINET-POSING-AS-A-LIBRARY-CABINET See, you can style a china cabinet as a bookcase! I loved their use of the white and tan covered books. It really helps pull the bookcase together. And the wax seals on the books were a great touch. MY SIMPLE TIPS FOR FINDING VINTAGE PLATES Wash them. Gold rim edges or not, all the plates I bring home get a quick trip through my dishwasher. Something about that makes me feel like I sterilized the plates and removed that second-hand ick factor.
