Provide plenty of air circulation to prevent fungus/mold from setting in. You will want to avoid low humidities and high temperatures as this will cause the plant to expend stored water at a faster rate. PHALAENOPSIS SPECIOSA VAR. CHRISTIANA Phal. speciosa is probably the most interesting species in the genus, at least one of the most variable. Bulbophyllum and the rest! Not much into Phals any longer but every once in awhile you see one that is a beauty! Agree with Jack but this is a real beauty - color and flower!Porch/Patio.

The habitat of this species is to live on rocks , very rarely on PHRAGMIPEDIUM ACKER'S BEAUTY This is my Phrag. Acker's Beauty, (Phrag. kovachii X lindleyanum). It is a smaller size plant in a 3x3x4 pot. It is a vigorous grower. It spikes from late April to July, producing a series of sequential pink/purple blooms about 4 inches across with rich text and a good substance to its petals. Blooms will last 1 to 2 weeks in my greenhouse. It is a cross created by Chuck Ackers just a 3 years ago. PHRAG SCHLIMII 'WILCOX' AM/AOS Phrag schlimii 'Wilcox' AM/AOS. A bit of historical info on this one. This was awarded as a Phrag schlimii about 100 years ago. Most likely it is not a species but a Phrag Cardinale. Still the name holds.Attached Images.
URGENTLY NEED HELP SAVING PHAL ORCHID WITH ROTTED ROOTS Urgently need help saving phal orchid with rotted roots, questionable aerial roots. I've had this orchid for a couple years and it was reliably growing new leaves and roots. Recently I noticed it's leaves were becoming limp, and a few turned yellow and fell off. Second time blooming but it missed last year, glad to see it blooming again. 92926 92927 92928 92929 PHRAGMIPEDIUM ACKER'S BEAUTY This is my Phrag. Acker's Beauty, (Phrag. kovachii X lindleyanum). It is a smaller size plant in a 3x3x4 pot. It is a vigorous grower. It spikes from late April to July, producing a series of sequential pink/purple blooms about 4 inches across with rich text and a good substance to its petals. Blooms will last 1 to 2 weeks in my greenhouse. It is a cross created by Chuck Ackers just a 3 years ago. PHRAG SCHLIMII 'WILCOX' AM/AOS A bit of historical info on this one. This was awarded as a Phrag schlimii about 100 years ago. Most likely it is not a species but a Phrag Cardinale. Still the name holds. URGENTLY NEED HELP SAVING PHAL ORCHID WITH ROTTED ROOTS Hey everyone, I've had this orchid for a couple years and it was reliably growing new leaves and roots. Recently I noticed it's leaves were becoming limp, and a few turned yellow and fell off. I chalked this up to a recent move but its been two months now and upon further investigation, it appears it's actually because the roots were all rotted and it hasn't been taking up moisture.ZYGONISIA WATERING

Provide plenty of air circulation to prevent fungus/mold from setting in. You will want to avoid low humidities and high temperatures as this will cause the plant to expend stored water at a faster rate. PHALAENOPSIS SPECIOSA VAR. CHRISTIANA Phal. speciosa is probably the most interesting species in the genus, at least one of the most variable. Bulbophyllum and the rest! Not much into Phals any longer but every once in awhile you see one that is a beauty! Agree with Jack but this is a real beauty - color and flower!Porch/Patio.
