BISMARCK PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT RURAL SCHOOL LOCATED IN NORTH DAKOTA Bismarck Public Schools selected ScholarChip to help improve Student Accountability . They wanted to take attendance more quickly in a large classroom environment. Taking attendance for such large classes was cumbersome and slow, but with ScholarChip the task became automated and fast, allowing more time for teachers to teach and students to learn. Bismarck is an economically diverse, dynamic rural community. The Bismarck Public School District has been in the education business for 144 years. They are the largest school district in the state of North Dakota, with 12,861 students and 2,104 employees. They have over 500 classrooms in 16 grade schools. BPS has a strong graduation rate. The average daily attendance is 96.4%.×
FAIRFAX SCHOOL DISTRICT SUBURBAN SCHOOL DISTRICT LOCATED OUTSIDE OF WASHINGTON D.C. Fairfax County Public Schools, the 10th largest school division in the U.S., has partnered with ScholarChip to help improve Campus Safety . FCPS employs our Visitor Management system. A Visitor Management station is installed at every school throughout the district. With this system, FCPS can confirm the identity of any school visitor wanting access to the building. This includes a sex offender background check, time-stamping their arrival and departure, printing their name, destination and photo on an ID badge while they are in the building. FCPS can also verify if a visitor has authorization to remove a student during the school day. The system can also issue late or tardypasses to students.
FCPS serves a diverse student population of more than 189,000 students in Pre-K through 12 grades. Nearly 93% of FCPS students graduate on time. Fairfax County high schools are recognized annually by the Washington Post as being among the most challenging high schools inthe U.S.

KINGSBOROUGH COMMUNITY COLLEGE COMMUNITY COLLEGE LOCATED IN BROOKLYN, NEW YORK Kingsborough Community College (KBCC) needed ScholarChip’s Identity Management for their large student body, including a K-12 high school located on campus. KBCC uses turnstiles for Building Attendance and now students tap their ScholarChip One Card to pass through. If they are not enrolled, admittance is rejected. The One Card is our smart ID card and is also used for Campus Safety , enabling card holders to unlock secure doors, providing they have certain authorizations via the management website. Smart Forms are used throughout KBCC, students and staff can tap their card and all their contact information is submitted. It’s great for quick applications, signing up for an event, sports, etc. Kingsborough has been named one of the leading community colleges in the country and serves a widely diverse population of approximately 14,000 students. KBBC is a major presence in the bustling borough of Brooklyn and has partnered with dozens of schools borough-wide to create a seamless transition to college. KBBC sponsors numerous activities year-round to meet the professional and cultural needs ofthe NYC community.

SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PHILADELPHIA URBAN SCHOOL DISTRICT LOCATED IN PENNSYLVANIA The School District of Philadelphia uses ScholarChip to improve Student Accountability with Building Attendance . They issue all students a Smart ID card. Every student taps their ID card on a ScholarChip kiosk for their attendance to be taken. ScholarChip also syncs with Infinite Campus, their Student Information System. Specific student data (i.e. suspensions) are recorded in the SIS, which syncs with ScholarChip to prevent those students from entering school. Administrators use the ScholarChip Attendance Wizard for resolving many attendance issues.
