A Global Scouts Go Solar Coordinator was installed in January 2016, based in Islamabad. The goal is to connect and support Solar Ambassadors world wide and to Implement the Scouts Go Solar programme on a national level in the two pilot countries (Pakistan and Philippines) as a model for other national scouts organisations to adapt. The cause of Scouting is Education for Life where the Youth Programme is the main medium through which young people are educated for life. Hence the Youth Programme is the central element of Scouting, theWOSM REGIONS
WOSM Regions. WOSM is divided into six Regions: Africa, Arab, Asia-Pacific, Eurasia, Europe and Interamerica. Their role is to support their member National Scout Organizations (NSOs). The Regions are strategically managed by Regional Scout Committees, which are elected by Regional Scout Conferences. These conferences take placeevery three years.
TICKET TO LIFE PROJECT The Ticket to Life (TTL) Project is an on-going flagship project being implemented by the Asia-Pacific Support Centre of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. Primarily aimed at educating children and young people in especially difficult circumstances through Scouting, the project is currently being carried out in eight countries in the Asia-Pacific Region: Bangladesh, India, IndonesiaSAFE FROM HARM
Safe from Harm is a set of actions designed to make sure that every person involved in Scouting is responsible and committed to protect children and young people inside or outside the Movement, so everyone can feel safe, at any time.SAFE FROM HARM
The World Safe from Harm policy was approved by the 2017 World Scout Conference and is the cornerstone of WOSM’s efforts to reduce risks of harm and abuse to children and young people. The policy focuses on implementation through national Youth Programmes, and in the different areas of the Adults in Scouting lifecycle. 5 INSPIRING ENVIRONMENTAL SCOUT PROJECTS Scouting provides young people with opportunities to participate in programmes, events, activities and projects that contribute to their growth as active citizens. Through these initiatives, young people become agents of positive change who inspire others to take action. The Jamboree Host has requested payment in Korean Won (KRW) 1 USD equals 1,118.59 KRW at the time of release of this Circular.
