TUTORIAL - HOW TO COMPRESS BASS For the ratio, attack time and release, keep the previous settings, but adjust your threshold to hit only 4 dB of compression. For a more aggressive feel, you can up the ratio. Now duplicate your compressor so that you end up with 2 compressors on your bass channel, both hitting 4 dB of gain reduction respectively. MELDAPRODUCTION DYNAMIC EQ, SOUNDBYTES REVIEW Using MDynamicEQ #8: Master Bus Enhancer. This one’s fun and easy. Just insert MDynamicEQ on the master bus and enable between 3 and 5 gently-overlapping filters. Leave them all on the center 0 dB line but pull the dynamic grab handles upward for each of them. Start with a 6 dB boost and tweak to taste. REVIEW - PRESONUS USB 24C AUDIO INTERFACESEE MORE ON SOUNDBYTESMAG.NET REVIEW – UMC1820 AUDIO INTERFACE FROM BEHRINGERSEE MORE ONSOUNDBYTESMAG.NET

REVIEW - RAVITY BY LUXONIXSEE MORE ON SOUNDBYTESMAG.NET REVIEW - IMPERIAL DELAY FROM BOZ DIGITAL LABS Imperial Delay gives you something a little extra: separate fully-adjustable pitch shift controls for left and right channels. More on that later. Another aspect of tape is loss of high frequencies, which makes the delayed signal slightly muffled-sounding. A digital delay typically emulates this with a low-pass filter. Missing is the option of two-channel mode operation (Left/Right or Mid/Side) and it has 6 bands rather than 24. But don’t underestimate our plug-in. It still has a generous selection of 27 filter types, and the “Butterworth” filters offer variable slopes just as they do infull version.

REVIEW – MASSIVE X FROM NATIVE INSTRUMENTS Massive X lists for $199 USD and an upgrade for Massive owners is $149 USD, but Native Instruments has decent sales from time to time. Massive X is also included in Komplete 12. Owners of Komplete 12 and Komplete 12 Ultimate may download Massive X for free. Also, a free demo download is available. REVIEW: ESSENTIALS MAYHEM OF LOOPS UVI Quantity and Quality. The new version brings 3000 new loops, increasing the number of loops to an impressive 8000. The quality is the same as with many other UVI products – basically, as good as it gets. Basses, mids and highs are nicely balanced, all loops are clear, well-defined and punchy. REVIEW - DCO-106 BY CHERRY AUDIO The 106 was very easy to program, included a DCO, 24 dB/octave low pass filter (that could self-oscillate), a non-resonant high pass filter, patch memory and a great sounding stereo chorus effect. Now we will travel back to the present and consider Cherry Audio’s new synth plugin that is an emulation of the Juno 106; the DCO-106. Thefeatures

Although there have been a number of plug-ins that emulate console bus and summation behavior in the last few years (examples: third party add-ons from the likes of Slate and Waves, DAW enhancements from Cakewalk), this one is different.NAMM 2020 REPORT

REVIEW - PRESONUS USB 24C AUDIO INTERFACE Review – PreSonus USB 24c Audio Interface. PreSonus claims that this is the best interface for your budget. I can attest, that’s not far from the truth. This is a USB-C audio card, but it also comes with a converter cable to USB-B, so you can easily connect it with your old computer. It has really superb-sounding audio-to-digital converters. REVIEW - CINESAMPLES CINESTRINGS SOLO CineStrings SOLO ($399 USD MSRP from CineSamples.com) is a solo string sample library using the free Kontakt Player version 5.3.1 or higher.
