10-40 OR 20-50 OIL??? 528 Posts. #14 · Jul 8, 2005. There is no reason for you to use a 20-50 oil in a 954. 20-50 is for V-twins. I use synthetic 10-30 in my bike because a) it's lighter so I get better mpg, b) the film strength of the syn 10-30 is still much better than the film strength of a conventional 10-40, c) it is SG, SH and SL rated so it won't void my EXHAUST POPPING, LEAN OR RICH? 1) Get an exhaust system and rejet the carburetors. 2) Get a valve adjustment and port n polish the heads ( Only worry is I'll find all the weak spots in the bottom end if I do this alone ) 3) Troubleshoot why it was fouling plugs with cr9ek ngks in it. My guess it wasrunning rich..
V-MAX T-BOOST (VBOOST) KIT??? V-boost is the name of the Yamaha Variable Intake System, the VMOA Club mag is also called V-Boost. TIRE PRESSURE AND RIDING TWO-UP Discussion Starter · #1 · Feb 24, 2007 (Edited) Hi everyone. I have a query regarding tire pressure in general, and pressure when riding two-up in particular. The manual states that one-up riding, or high speed riding, should have a 33/36 psi tire pressure (front/back). For two-up, 36/42 is advised. Now, I've ridden two-up with less, and one SLIP-ONS AND REJETTING... Hey everyone. Settle an argument for a friend and I. We're discussing motorcycles and slip on mufflers.
