YLC (Grades 5-8) Days: Monday to Friday. Time: 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Site: Lower Roxbury. Students in grades 6-8 get academic support and enrichment geared toward their developmental level. Their programming includes leadership training and experiences , single-gender groups and workshops to help them develop healthy self-images and lifehabits.

In September 2012, violence struck at the heart of our community when 19-year-old Jorge Fuentes was murdered while walking his dog outside his home in Dorchester. He was an exuberant, remarkable young man and natural leader, adored by the children he mentored at St. Stephen’s Youth Programs and respectedby his peers.
TEENS — ST. STEPHEN'S YOUTH PROGRAMS We offer teens a wide range of supports including mentoring, academic tutoring, one-on-one counseling, career panels, college visits, and test preparation. Career panels range in topic -- from the arts and sciences to business and from caring careers to medicine -- to show teens the variety of paths to success available to them. EMPLOYMENT — ST. STEPHEN'S YOUTH PROGRAMS For Teens (15-18 years old) CIT (Counselor-In-Training) Working for St. Stephen's Youth Programs gives you access all of the programming we have to offer. This position is for teens between the ages of 15 and 18 years old who live in Boston . Teen staff receive ongoing job training, professional development, College and Career support, and BLACKSTONE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LIBRARY CELEBRATES READ By JP Blasi, SSYP Development and Communications Fellow Across the country, March 1-5, 2021 was Read Across America Week (RAAW). Our youngest students receive one-on-one homework help, tutoring in math and reading, supplemental science, art, music and technology, and enrichment programming. They have opportunities for physical fitness (swimming, dance and free-play time outdoors) and are given a hot, nutritious meal each day.B-READY 2020-2021
YLC (Grades 5-8) Days: Monday to Friday. Time: 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Site: Lower Roxbury. Students in grades 6-8 get academic support and enrichment geared toward their developmental level. Their programming includes leadership training and experiences , single-gender groups and workshops to help them develop healthy self-images and lifehabits.

Year-round learning is the key to keeping students on the path to successful adulthood. B-READY After-School Program serves over 300 young people in grades K-college at two church-hosted sites in the South End and Lower Roxbury. B-SAFE, our summer enrichment program which runs at four additional sites in Dorchester, Mattapan, and Chelsea serves approximately 580 students each summer.Programs
