LATEST STORAGE REVIEWS NOVEMBER 16TH, 2019 BY TOM FENTON IGEL WORKSPACE ON AN INTEL NUC After having a chance to work with and review WYSE Converter,
which converts a PC running Windows 7 or 10 into a VDI clients, we thought we would see what it takes (and if it makes sense) to create a VDI client using VDI client software that comes with its own operation system (OS), rather than having to rely on a PC that already has an OS, such as Windows already installed on it. We will be using the same low-priced small form factor computer for this review that we used for WYSE Converter, but we will be using IGEL VDI client software which comes with its own OS and install it on a bare metal system. This review, like our review on WYSE Converter, will be different than our other reviews as we will cover how to assemble a system to act as a VDI client software, and then we will review that system as a VDIclient.

NOVEMBER 15TH, 2019 BY STORAGEREVIEW ENTERPRISE LAB DIAMANTI D10 CONTAINER APPLIANCE REVIEW We first became acquainted with Diamanti two years ago at KubeCon 2017, and we were impressed with their vision: to provide a bare-metal container platform purpose-built for microservices and cloud-native environments, and optimized for Kubernetes or, basically, a hyperconverged infrastructure appliance for Kubernetes. We saw this as an interesting play and last year at KubeCon 2018 we started to talk to them about working with us to understand storage on Kubernetes and how Kubernetes storage can be tested, and quantified in a methodical fashion so we can start to test and document Kubernetes storageperformance.

.
These embedded server management technologies allow a system administrator to monitor and manage servers and other network-attached equipment by remote control regardless of whether the machine is powered on or whether an operating system is installed or functional. Each of these solutions has similar functionality to the others, and each has been improved over the years to add new functions and capabilities. In this review, we take a close look at the integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) with Lifecycle Controller, on the current version 9, which is included in generation 14 of PowerEdgeservers.
