You can take part in a range of workshops, ranging from music to circus skills in a safe and friendly atmosphere where you decide whatto do.

Errol is a young boy living in the inner city who longs for his own garden. After running out of room for plants in his flat, he dreams of having a garden of his own. THE HOME: DURATIONAL STAY The Home is a 48-hour immersive experience which gives participants an opportunity to discover the problems and pleasures of being cared for in a communal setting, and explores the care home as a place of reinvention and possibility. This innovative new work sees 30 people coming to stay in a theatrical care home for an entire weekend. A THEATRE TRIP FOR EVERY CHILD A Theatre Trip for Every Child, Lewisham is a pioneering pay-it-forward scheme for individuals and local businesses. The campaign is simple – every £10 raised means that a Year 1 student from a local student can come to our theatre for free. Originally established in 1894 as The Deptford Fund to improve the plight of local people, it opened its first building, the Albany Institute in 1899. As part of an innovative partnership with Southwark Council, the 150-seat theatre at Canada Water Library is managed and programmed by the Albany with a range of events and performances for all ages. The Earwax community includes writers, musicians, sound artists and DJs. They work collaboratively to develop each artist’s work, creating a nurturing environment. The Albany garden is a really special place. It’s made me feel more at home in an often isolating city, enjoying simple pleasures with others, and giving me the opportunity to get my hands dirty and connect to green and growing things when I’m sick of all the grey and concrete around me. Our three sites have a footfall of almost 1 million people a year and we support a range of community and artistic initiatives. Working with us provides the opportunity to invest in the community and work with the leading arts venue in south east London. CANADA WATER THEATRE Canada Water Theatre. As part of an innovative partnership with Southwark Council, the 150-seat theatre at Canada Water Library is managed and programmed by the Albany with a range of events and performances for all ages. The Albany also manage the suite of six meeting rooms that are available for hire and the onsite café. THE HOME: DURATIONAL STAY The Home is a 48-hour immersive experience which gives participants an opportunity to discover the problems and pleasures of being cared for in a communal setting, and explores the care home as a place of reinvention and possibility. This innovative new work sees 30 people coming to stay in a theatrical care home for an entire weekend. The PureGold Albany shows feature final year students on the BMus in Popular Music at Goldsmiths performing half hour sets, with singer-songwriters, bands, electronica and cutting-edge audio-visual work. From our intimate 30 seat studio to our newly refurbished 500 capacity (standing) mainhouse at the Albany, we have a range of options for your performance events. We can also offer additional services including technicial and marketing support, box office, front of house andsecurity services.
