The Lighthouse offers a guided tour each Saturday. These are on a first come first served basis and will begin at 1pm. Join a 40-minute tour led by one of our knowledgeable staff members detailing the history of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's first public commission - The Glasgow Herald Building up to its present-day use as The Lighthouse, Scotland's centre for design and architecture. At the end of the 19th century, a far-reaching movement which brought about an artistic regeneration emerged in Europe, with Nature as its chief source of inspiration.THE LIGHTHOUSE
Model Business showcases three creative enterprises that completed the Starter for 6 business and investment programme between 2010 and 2012, Model Business documents the journey taken by these entrepreneurs as they turned their creative ideas into fully formed businesspropositions.

The compositions in this exhibition by artist Adam Piggot feature patterns created by light from remote sources, such as adjacent rooms and street lighting. They form part of a wider body of work entitled Abstract Reality, which is inspired by mindfulness, time and the impermanence of existence. Despite appearing completely abstract, allthe

Coronavirus Update 27 Jul 2020. In March we took the decision to close The Lighthouse to the public and tenants in line with current government guidance on social distancing. Here at The Lighthouse, there are two viewing points where visitors can see across the city of Glasgow. On Level Three you can access the helical staircase in the Mackintosh Centre. The staircase winds its way up the original water tower designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh leading you to the outdoor viewing platform.THE LIGHTHOUSE
The conference suite at The Lighthouse is a fully contained, well equipped space ideal for corporate events. Located on level three of The Lighthouse, the Conference Suite is accessed via glass doors, leading to a dedicated reception area complete with reception desk, a self-contained break out area and space for coats and catering.THE LIGHTHOUSE
The Lighthouse and Cove Park Residency 2020 13 Aug 2020. This year The Lighthouse and Cove Park teamed up once again to offer a residency and exhibition opportunity for emerging craft makers, designers and architects. This fully-funded residency aims to support research and the development of new work, leading to a six-week exhibition withinTHE LIGHTHOUSE
The Lighthouse is available for evening hire subject to availability. Evening hire is chargeable per hour, with the charge applicable from 5.00pm onwards. Please note that we no longer host private parties, however, corporate events, workshops, screenings, dinners and meetingscan be arranged.

Unbuilt Mackintosh showcases stunning architectural models based on the unbuilt designs of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The models produced by Glasgow-based model-makers Ozturk, are fantastically accurate and help us to appreciate Mackintosh’s architectural vision.
