Michael Yurkovic, Industrial designer and Artisan member of IGMA (International Guild of Miniature Artisans), creates timeless icons of the mid-century modern era. From a mid-century appointed New York Loft to a rusting Vespa, Yurkovic’s work brings miniatures into the modern age for viewers in thisSUMMER CAMP 2021
Summer Camp 2021. Our week-long summer camps for ages 5–12 incorporate hands-on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) concepts in a fun environment designed for campers to build, explore, and create. Our weekly, half-day summer camp sessions take place Mondays through Fridays in July from 9am–12pm or 1pm–4pm. 19TH CENTURY LADIES' FASHION February 25, 2020 – February 14, 2021. In 2017, through a generous donation by Eunice and E.G. Hernandez and Family, the museum acquired a collection of 32 one-quarter-life-size Historical Figures made by artist George Stuart. Tucson painter Ric Maledon began making miniatures in 2014. For this Community Corner Exhibition, he refurbished second-hand-shop finds with fanciful flare– including a dollhouse designed as an artist’s retreat, a carriage for a Count, and a jewelry box which he transformed into a TARDIS.Ric uses a colorful palette and elaborate patterns in his renovations, making them a feast for the eyes. Thanks to a journalist’s challenge, Colombian artist, Flor Carvajal, discovered a new passion for creating micro-miniature sculptures so small that they fit on the head of a pin or in the eye of a sewing needle. The original town included twenty buildings plus wagons, a hearse, water troughs, plank sidewalks, prickly pear cactus and saguaros. With black lights, moving characters and eerie sounds, the project took three years to complete. Jean moved his family to Tucson, Arizona in1978.

The Girls’ Day Display at The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures is a five-tiered display including 15 dolls and other symbolic accessories.
