TAKING OUT A MORTGAGE WHEN YOU HAVE A ‘COMPLEX INCOME’ Many workers have much more complex incomes involving bonuses, commission or overtime. Many work irregular hours or are employed on a contract basis. Taking out a mortgage, for these people, can seem a little more challenging because lenders will view their income in a slightly different way. What’s more, the borrowing amounts can vary EQUITY RELEASE: MAJORITY OF OVER 50S STILL UNSURE HOW IT WORKS SunLife’s equity release research also found almost eight in 10 people over 50 didn’t completely understand equity release. Yet one in 10 said they were considering it to provide extra cash in retirement, which equates to up to 2.5 million adults in the UK. The study also reveals the majority of over 50s don’t want to leavetheir homes.
