They collaborated with regional and national artists on the TimeSlips team to draw on and celebrate the creative strengths of elders, staff, and volunteers. Together they reimagine the story of Peter Pan and integrated the exploration into daily activities. The project culminated with the performance of an original play. Dementia Inclusive Durham (DID) is partnering with TimeSlips to engage and support people with dementia and their families in Durham, NC, with a special focus on those living alone and those with TIMESLIPS | ABOUT PEOPLE Fingard, MS is an education leader with many years experience in Organization Development, Fundraising and Theatre. With over a decade of TimeSlips experience, Fingard brings her passion for mental health advocacy and entrepreneurship to be an enthusiastic, compassionate leader of cultural change using the arts to demonstrate that all people are capable of being creative. TIMESLIPS | RESEARCH TimeSlips Improves Communication in Mid-late Stages. Bahlke et.al (2010) "Positive communication changes in addition to maintained or improved quality of life were observed. Our evidence-based and award-winning approach brings joy to elders and their care partners by infusing creativity and meaning-making into care relationships and systems. TIMESLIPS NETWORK SPOTLIGHT FOLLOW THE OUTPOURING OF CREATIVITY AMONG OUR TRAINEES ACROSS THE WORLD Signature HealthCAREKentucky
Over a two year period, 12 Signature HealthCARE nursing homes became Creative Communities of Care. What does that mean? They collaborated with regional and national artists on the TimeSlips team to draw on and celebrate the creative strengths of elders, staff, and volunteers. Together they reimagine the story of Peter Pan and integrated the exploration into daily activities. The project culminated with the performance of an original play.
