Park Information Turtle Bay Exploration Park is a fun, 300-acre cultural center located along the Sacramento River in Redding, CA featuring a museum, playgrounds, wildlife center, botanical garden, and the world-famous Sundial Bridge. Admission Reservations > ADMISSION RESERVATIONS Lost and Found. Contact the Admissions Desk located at the Museum entrance to report lost children and lost and found items. You may contact the Admissions Desk directly by calling 530-242-3111. Lost & Found items are held for up to 30 days. Turtle Bay is not responsiblefor

Forest Camp Paul Bunyan’s Forest Camp at Turtle Bay is an educational hub modeled after an old-time forest camp similar to ones all over Shasta County a hundred years ago. Turtle Bay Exploration Park is part of the Redding Cultural District and the campus features many works of public art. CALIFORNIA DESERT TORTOISE The desert tortoise is able to live where ground temperature may exceed 140 degrees F, by burrowing into the sand. 95% of a desert tortoise's life is spent in underground burrows. Ravens have caused more than 50% of juvenile desert tortoise deaths in some areas of the Mojave Desert. Desert tortoise populations have declined by 90% sincethe 1980s.
