Our programs inspire the imagination and foster self-expression, communication, and a life-long love of literature. Book a program “Teachers & Writers Collaborative is an THERE IS "STILL LIFE" AT HOME There is “Still Life” at Home. Spring 2021- Teachers & Writers partnered with SAGE Griot Circle to offer LGBT elders of color the opportunity to learn still life drawing through online classes. The following is a description of the program and some of the work shared by the participants. POETRY OUT LOUD RULES & RESOURCES Poetry Out Loud Rules & Resources Rules STUDENT ELIGIBILITY Grade Level: Only currently enrolled students in grades 9-12 are eligible, with an exception made for 8th-grade students participating in a 9th- through 12th-grade class. Citizenship: Competitors at the state and national finals must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents with a valid tax identification orPOETRY OUT LOUD
Poetry Out Loud is a national poetry recitation competition, open to students in grades 9-12. Bechtel Prize For an Innovative Creative Writing Classroom Project The Bechtel Prize is named for Louise Seaman Bechtel, who was an editor, author, collector of children’s books, and teacher. She was the first person to head a juvenile book department at an American publishing house. As such, she took children’s literature seriously, helped establish the INSPIRING ART WORKSHOPS FOR OLDER ADULTS Inspiring Art workshops for older adults Partner with us to host a dynamic Creative Aging program for seniors!
