HERONS AND CLAGUE PARK Herons and Clague park. to enjoy. Nice series Karin. Really like the first one. Excellent set Karin. to enjoy. Lovely series, Karin, and a lovely park. My favorite shots are 3, 4 and 5. I love the bridge and the pathway is very enticing.WHAT IS IT?
To all who said slide hammer you are right , but this has one specific use. I'll reveal the use later if no one come up with it. I have 4 slide hammer pullers besides this one, One is a set of two having specific use to remove the front pump housing on automatic transmissions, the other two are sets, one three pounder and the other a five pounder each having a set adapters so you can use them 3D - SPIDER WEB CATCH. ...CONTINUE READING THIS TOPIC >> What was your most used lens for 2019? Someone asked this end-of-year question last year. I guess I get to ask for 2019. Filtering by 2019 as the shooting date, I get "20 lenses" in my LR catalog spread over 1587 images and three cameras, but that count is skewed by the use of extenders. The EF 300 F/2.8L IS II comes in as my #1 when the two extended configurations are merged along with the lens alone, totaling 408. That's 'keepers' in the catalog. The usage number is probably 3x to 4x that number in burstsat airshows.
I was surprised to see the EF 16-35 f/4L IS was the second most used in file count at 256. I looked at the filters several times as just 1587 images for the calendar year seems surprisingly low. I know I shot less, but that's less than half the 2018 count for the same LR filters that returns3675.
If you filter and count your images, what surprises did you find? Do you use your own usage data to plan to sell unused lenses / cameras? Or maybe, to change the lenses you'll use more in 2020? ...CONTINUE READING THIS TOPIC >>Self critique
What is your process for critiquing your own photos? I have been thinking about selling them and I want to put out a great photo. Yes, photography like other art forms, is highly subjective but how do you not fall into the trap of not seeing the flaws in your work. For example, I have worked on photos to get them where I like them but when put out for critiques, they get ripped apart on things I did not see or seemed on par with other well liked images. I am working on getting better but still need work. ...CONTINUE READING THIS TOPIC >> nikon prime lens for wedding I am ready to get a prime lens for the Nikon 850 for doing portraits and wedding. need some feedback ...CONTINUE READING THIS TOPIC >>Hi with questions

Some of our camera club journeyed to downtown Indianapolis to see the November patriotic light display at the Circle. For those of you familiar with Indianapolis, we were set up on the upper steps of the War Memorial, looking north. The first two photos are mine, and the third is my seventeen-year-old-granddaughter’s. She is also a member of our club. My photos were shot with my Canon SL1, and hers with her T5.My photo

I set a Xmas limit of $2700, and was able to treat myself out of that limit, to a new Nikon AF-P DX 10-20mm wide angle zoom lens. Price $277. I needed a wider zoom lens than my kit lens, an 18-55mm. I gave bottles of red and white wines to some of my friends, along with giving a half dozen SanDisk 64gb Ultra SD cards to them. Non photography gifts to close relatives were the bigger part of my budget. There are/were some good camera deals this year. The best one I saw, was the Canon 5D Mark 4 camera, selling Brand New for $2000, and the Nikon SB-700 flash unit selling for $296. Nikon and Canon had their customary entry-level, 2 lens kits. Nikon had D3500/D5600 two lens bundle kits. Sold mostly everywhere. What photography equipment did you treat yourself to this Xmas? I call it. From Me To Me XmasGifts.
