The “Mutual Recognition” Statement is a direct response to GA resolution 71/243, which calls for entities within the UN development system to “operate according to the principle of mutual recognition of best practices in terms of policies and procedures, with the aim of facilitating active collaboration across agencies and reducing ASSESSED AND VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS Activities financed by voluntary contributions appeared to have been less affected than those financed under assessed budgets (ACC/1987/6, paras. 18-23). The General Assembly adopted this recommendation in resolution 31/141 of 17 December 1976. The Commission concluded (ibid., paras. 73 and 265-270) that the amount of the repatriation grant for staff in the Professional and higher categories called for no change; however, in view of its recommendation to differentiate between staff members with SCREENING DATABASE “CLEARCHECK” Screening Database “ClearCheck”. The Screening Database is a critical system-wide tool to avoid the hiring and re-hiring of individuals whose working relationship with an organization of the system ended because of a determination that they perpetrated sexual harassment.
