ALFORD PARK AND BEACH This is a beach and park on the Lake Michigan shore. There are picnic areas, fishing from the shore, and sledding. There are three sections to Alford Park: North, East, and West. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Our Lake Michigan beaches are not staffed with lifeguards. Please be aware that no pets, fire, grills or glass containers are allowed on beaches and no flotation devices can be used in swimming areas. KENOSHA DREAM PLAYGROUND AT PETZKE PARK As Kenosha’s first fully accessible playground, the Dream Playground at Petzke Park is a one-of-a-kind 15,000 square foot space for children of all abilities to play side-by-side. Built by a crew of more than 3,000 volunteers in 2015, it now welcomes visitors of all ages to play, dream and be inspired. KENOSHA CIVIC VETERANS PARADE “A Centennial Celebration: Women’s Right to Vote” is the theme for the 2021 Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade, set for Sunday, June 27 at 1 p.m. The Jesse White Tumblers, the River City Rhythm and Cirques Experience Wheel Jam are among the performers slated to appear. Continuing its community generosity, Snap-on, Inc. is again the lead sponsor for the parade. COUNTRY THUNDER MUSIC FESTIVAL Country Thunder Music Festival is second to none and continues to be the premier music and lifestyles event of the summer. I-94 and Hwy. 158, East 7 miles. Merry Yacht Inn is a 19th century fire station built in 1889. There are five private rooms. Each room includes a full bathroom with two to three double beds. LIBRARY PARK HISTORIC DISTRICT WALKING TOUR On Second Saturdays, May through October, the Kenosha County Historical Society (who operates the Kenosha History Center and the seasonal Southport Light Station Museum) presents this guided walking tour of the historic Library Park District. The tour typically lasts 90 minutes with a leisurely walk around the park discussing the architectural and historical significance of most buildings.KENOSHA RESTAURANTS

Following a name change, a new logo, and a website redesign, Visit Kenosha has now released its own merchandise line. Using a theme of Shop Local – Dine Local – Play Local, the organization has partnered with The Lettering Machine, a locally owned embroidery and screen printing shop in Downtown Kenosha, to produce a variety ofitems.
