SURF PERCH | WASHINGTON FLY FISHING Jul 23, 2020. #1. So much fun. You will be fishing in 6 inches or 4 feet of water, depending on the moment. Timing of the cast is as important as anything else, which I think is unusual. Don't strip, but keep contact with your fly. Use 1.5 inch anything orange-ish that doesn't look like sand or seaweed. I spend a lot of time talking toseals

Taylor isn’t very well know. Probably because the majority of sales are made online. One usually likes to cast a rod before purchase at a shop, so this is problematic. However, Taylor will send you a rod and reel and if you are not satisfied for any reason, he will give a full refund, if it is sent back within 30 days of purchase. BIG STREAMERS ON SINGLE HAND RODS As for line choice, I tend to use a longer sink tip in a super dense sink rate, but correct weight for the rod, at least on moving water (lakes/ocean are different). For example, I often use an Airflo Galloup Streamer Long 300gr for my 8wt Sage One, which is a super fast20' or 25' of tip.

New raft (14' AIRE 143D / NRS Bighorn II frame) is about ready but I'm short on rod storage for intact / strung rods that you can stow and access on the go. Thinking on one or two PVC pipes with a 1/3 cut away so there is an open top for access with enough left for protection. CARBON FIBER VS. GRAPHITE: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE The fact is, carbon fiber (fibre) and graphite are one in the same as far as conposition goes. The difference between fibers has to do with how long and thick each fiber is made. Most carbon fibers are "formed" at about the same length and diameter because the process to make themis well defined.
COUNTERBALANCED OAR SLEEVES Not as nice as counterbalanced oars, but way better than stock Carlisle oars - especially for multi-day trips. I've heard of folks doing things like standing the oars on end, dumping 3-5lbs of lead shot in, then drilling a small access hole in the shaft and using it to seal the shot in with expandable-foam-in-a-can type stuff, but on balance (ba-dum-bump) just buying the counterweights seems a ANYONE HAVE ANY INFO ABOUT A SAGE GFL 890 DS 8WT yakcanyon. WA STATE RIVER ACCESS LAWS Feb 14, 2017. #13. TAYLOR RODS & REELS
SCOTT CENTRIC
I have to say I've become a bit of a Scott fan boy. I have both a Radian and G2 in a 5 weight. I use the Radian most frequently as an all around rod; the G for dries only. They are sweet casting sticks. The Radian in particular has power and feel. The only Sage I own is an old RPL. After the One I lost interest in their rods.
