ARTIST IN RESIDENCE: NNEKA UZOIGWE Watts Gallery is delighted to welcome figurative painter Nneka Uzoigwe as Artist in Residence for spring / summer 2021. Like Henry Scott Tuke, Uzoigwe was trained in classical painting, studying from Greek and Roman sculptures and life models. She trained and now teaches at London Fine Art Studios and was awarded the 2020 de Laszlo Foundation Award by the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.LIMNERSLEASE
The Wattses' home and studios, Limnerslease, was designed by the great Arts & Crafts architect Sir Ernest George and was completed in 1891. On Saturday 18 July, the Wattses took possession. The 'little house', as they called Limnerslease, grew into a source of inspiration and a place of great productivity and tranquillity for them both.THE TEA SHOP
The Tea Shop building was originally used as a showroom for the Compton Pottery, which was established on this site by Mary Watts in 1901. The pottery became well known for its large ornamental pots, bird baths, garden ornaments and sundials. Famous stockists included Liberty of London.Today the Tea Shop retains much of its originalcharm, and

Henry Scott Tuke 7 June - 12 September 2021 Admission | Friends free Henry Scott Tuke explores the complexities that surround the life and art of this British painter, famed for his depictions of sun, sea, and bathing during a late Victorian and Edwardian golden age. Tackling questions of artistic influence, art practice and a varied reception history, the exhibition brings together some of VIOLIN CONCERT WITH THOMAS ORMOND 8. Tempo Di Minuetto by F. Kreisler. Thomas is the talented grandson of Richard Ormond CBE, the Chairman of Watts Gallery Trust for 32 years until 2017. Thomas started learning to play the violin with the Lauderdale Suzuki Group when he was three years old. The Suzuki Method is based on listening to music with reading gradually added.WATTS GALLERY
