Rates & agreements. WGGB rates and agreements cover TV, theatre, audio and some areas of film. In addition, you can find detailed, best-practice advice in the guidelines and booklets we produce. These are all available as PDFs in the Resources section, or from the WGGB Head Office. We can also give members advice by phone or email.PENSION SCHEME
Pension scheme. The WGGB pension scheme is open to Full Members writing in the areas of TV, radio and film. If it is a BBC in-house contract. the percentages are applied to the actual writer’s fee (not including advances, attendance fees or format payments). There is a cap of £18,630, which could come into play if it is a singlecontract

HOLBY CITY CANCELLATION WGGB has responded to the BBC’s announcement on 2 June 2021 that it will be cancelling the long-running medical series Holby City from March 2022.. The continuing drama, which has aired on the channel for 23 years, first broadcast in 1999 as a spin-off of Casualty.. It won a Bafta for Best Continuing Drama in 2008 and attracts audiences of more than three million viewers. MEET THE RADIO DRAMA PRODUCERS The panel: Sally Avens has been working as a director and producer in radio drama since 1990. She was executive producer for the Friday Play and also for comedy drama on Radio 4. Marc Beeby is a radio producer for the BBC, whose work includes the fantasy series Pilgrim. Nicholas Briggs is co-executive producer of Big Finish Productions, best PROFILE - WRITERS' GUILD OF GREAT BRITAIN Stephen has written for television, radio and theatre. Work for Radio 4 includes Gondwanaland, My Difficult Second Album, Marathon Man, The Two Georges, The Last Minutes for the Comedians Theatre Company and he’s currently adapting William Goldman’s classic The Princess Bride which will be broadcast for Christmas 2021.
