Annual Report 2020. WWF-Australia’s Annual Report 2020 contains a summary of our conservation highlights over the past financial year. MATERIALS & EMBODIED CARBON LEADERS’ ALLIANCE (MECLA Materials & Embodied Carbon Leaders’ Alliance (MECLA) The built environment sector including the cities and towns we live and work in is responsible for one-quarter of Australia’s greenhouse emissions. Globally, the steel, cement and aluminium industries alone each produce about 7-9% of annual global greenhouse emissions. GREEN OFFICE TOOLKIT SAVE PAPER Australian’s send 1.9 million tonnes of waste paper each year to landfill, most of which can be recycled. There are so many easy ways to reduce your paper use. 10 FACTS ABOUT FLYING FOXES 2. Roosting colonies of flying foxes, known as camps, may contain several thousand individuals. Some camps have been in use for hundreds of years by many generations of flying foxes. 3. The grey-headed flying fox is one of the smallest of our flying foxes, weighing in atjust 300 grams.
