KKTC'NIN YERLI OTOMOBILI 'GÜNSEL'IN TANITIMI YAPILDI KKTC BAŞBAKANI TATAR, "KKTC ADINA SEVINDIRICI BIR OLAYA TANIKLIK EDIYORUZ VE BU GÜZELLIĞI ORTAYA KOYANLARI TEBRIK ETMEK ISTIYORUM."DEDI.

KUZEY KIBRIS TÜRK CUMHURIYETI (KKTC) Başbakanı Ersin Tatar, YERLI OTOMOBIL "GÜNSEL"in tanıtımında, "KKTC adına sevindirici bir olaya tanıklık ediyoruz ve bu güzelliği ortaya koyanları tebrik etmek istiyorum." dedi. Yakın Doğu Üniversitesi (YDÜ) Ar-Ge ekipleri ile Otomotiv Mühendisliği Bölümü tarafından uzun yıllar süren çalışmalar sonucu ortaya çıkan, 2016'DE PROTOTIP ÜRETIMI TAMAMLANAN KKTC'nin yerli ve elektrikli otomobili "GÜNSEL"in ilk modeli "B9" ile ikinci modeli SUV tipi "J9"un tanıtımı yapıldı. Girne'de bir otelde düzenlenen programa, Başbakan Tatar'ın yanı sıra, Başbakan Yardımcısı ve Dışişleri Bakanı Kudret Özersay, bakanlar, milletvekilleri, Türkiye'nin Lefkoşa Büyükelçisi Ali Murat Başçeri, KKTC'nin 3'ncü Cumhurbaşkanı Derviş Eroğlu, YDÜ Kurucu Rektörü Dr. Suat Günsel, Mütevelli Heyeti Başkanı Doç. Dr. İrfan Günsel ve ailesi, yerli ve yabancı iş insanı ile çok sayıda davetli katıldı. Tanıtım programı, "GÜNSEL"in tanıtım videosu ve İrfan Günsel'in aracın teknik özelliklerini anlattığı sunumlabaşladı.
Başbakan Tatar, burada yaptığı konuşmada "KKTC adına sevindirici bir olaya tanıklık ediyoruz ve bu güzelliği ortaya koyanları tebrik etmek istiyorum." dedi. YDÜ ailesinin başarılı, çalışkan ve yetenekli olduğunu belirten Tatar, hep birlikte KKTC'nin başarılarına imza attıklarını söyledi. Başbakan Tatar, "Doğu Akdeniz'de, Mavi Vatan'da KKTC ile çok olumsuzluklar konuşulmaktadır. Bu başarı öyküsü, bütün konuşanları mahcup etmektedir. Çünkü biz başarılıyız, devletimize sahip çıkan ve devletimizi yücelten, başarılı bir milletin evlatlarıyız." diye konuştu. "ORTAYA KONULAN ÇABAYI GÖRMEKTEN MUTLULUK DUYUYORUZ" Büyükelçi Başçeri, YDÜ ve Günsel ailesinin KKTC'ye kazandırdığı başarı hikayesinde emeği geçen herkesi kutladı. Dünya otomotiv sanayisinin büyük bir yol ayrımında olduğuna dikkati çeken Başçeri, "Cumhurbaşkanımız Recep Tayyip Erdoğan'ın 27 Aralık 2019'da Türkiye'nin Otomobili Girişim Grubu'nun üzerinde çalıştığı, yerli otomobilin (TOGG) tanıtımında da yaptığı konuşmada ifade ettiği gibi, şu an bu yarışta herkes eşit şartlarda." dedi. Elektrikli otonom ve ağ bağlantılı teknolojilerin liderliğinde yeni üretilen modellerin yavaş yavaş ortaya çıktığını aktaran Başçeri, "Bu anlamda aynı çabanın GÜNSEL markası çerçevesinde ortaya konulduğunu görmekten mutluluk duyuyoruz." diye konuştu. Söz konusu marka için gösterilen kararlılığının KKTC'de Ar-Ge ekosisteminin nitelik ve nicelik olarak geliştirilmesinde bir fırsat olacağına işaret eden Başçeri, bunun çoğu firmaya da ilham vereceğini söyledi. Başçeri, teknoparklarda Ar-Ge ve inovasyon alanında yapılacak çalışmalarla üretimin, KKTC'nin geleceğinin temel taşlarını oluşturacağını ifade ederek, bu çabanın her türlü politik engellere rağmen tüm kısıtlamaraları ortadan kaldıracağınıvurguladı.
"BU GURUR, BU ARABA BIZIM" YDÜ Mütevelli Heyeti Başkanı Günsel, yerli otomobilin ülke için büyük bir dönüm noktası olacağını belirterek, söz konusu markanın heyecanını hep birlikte yaşadıklarını söyledi. "GÜNSEL"in KKTC'nin her bir bireyinin gurur duyması gereken bir proje olduğuna belirten İrfan Günsel, "Bu gurur, bu araba bizim. Bu gurur, bu araba sizin." dedi. Konuşmaların ardından görücüye çıkan "GÜNSEL"in seri üretimi ise 2021'de başlayacak.
