By Troy L. Smith, Cleveland.com It’s time! Tyson Fury versus Deontay Fury 2 is the biggest heavyweight fight in over two decades and it will stream live on pay-per-view from Las Vegas on Saturday. Expect millions around the world to tune in. The first fight between the two ended in a draw after an epic 12 rounds of action. Fury controlled much of the fight with his jab and movement, while Wilder landed two knockdowns, including a devastating one in the final round that nearly put the fight away. Some are calling it the biggest heavyweight showdown since the second bout between Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson, aka “The BiteFight.”
“Wilder versus Fury has all the makings of a great heavyweight fight and all the makings of a pay-per-view success,” says Former HBO Sports executive and fight PPV industry pioneer Mark Taffet. “These are two fighters who are physical giants and whose personalities are giant. They had a great first fight. There’s nothing like heavyweights with confidence and personality. I think it’s definitely one of the biggest heavyweight fights in many, manyyears.”
Tonight’s main card begins at 9 p.m. from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The main event is expected to begin around 11 p.m. Wilder was a -125 favorite heading into the weekend. Here’s a look at the fully card for Wilder vs. Fury 2:MAIN CARD
