CONNECTING TO CARE: PATIENT GUIDE TRAINING Connecting to Care was designed for experienced medical interpreters to enhance their daily work with patients and the treatment team. This advanced 24-hour course expands the interpreter’s knowledge and skills to support the patient beyond the interpreted session with the health care provider. EQUITY & INCLUSION TRAINING OF TRAINERS ToT attendees learn a theoretical framework of cultural competence in health and human services. You learn to become confident and adept at teaching tangible skills necessary to provide culturally responsive care, and to develop an authentic approach toward addressing and disrupting inequities while being respectful of preservingrelationships.
